We had some swell this week in Maui and I finally made it over to the other side of the island to meet up with a buddy in his neck of the woods. I'd actually missed the biggest day which was the day prior, but there was still enough energy left to make it interesting.
My first time to this area and the landscape and the waves in the area were nothing short of absolute beauty. Driving through lush little canyons as the road twisted along the coast and opened up showing the surf.
This wave in particular had about 4 different sections to it, and witnessed a few guys make it from the top of the point, around the elbow, through the soft section, then pulling in back-dooring the final bend. If you like going right (which I don't normally but definately would for this wave) you'd be in heaven here.
