MS Vipers purchased yesterday and tried them today. I've been recently using a mixed match of a good and not so good swim fin (not mentioning any names).
I swim alot, and there's alot that comes into play when shooting water shots and also bodysurfing. And in my ripe old age of 40, the comfort to the foot and also the comfort to the tendons is important.
One of the first things noticed in this design is the angle of the top of the fin. It leads itself for more give on the forward kick (most pressure on the front tendon), and power stroke on the down stoke (natural for those with the kneecap on the front of the leg).
Set aside function, lets talk about fit. I can honestly say that this is the most comfortable fit that I've had from Viper. Fins in the past were too narrow on the foot and were cramped and uncomfortable. Keep in mind I have a wide size 11 foot (ladies take note).
At the end of the day, I can honestly say that I'm pleased with my $68 (Maui retail) purchase of the latest rubber propultion technology that hopefully I never lose.
More reviews coming soon of the Viper MS after further testing.
